Simply Notes Community Guidelines
Welcome to the Simply Notes Community — a space to share ideas, ask questions, exchange knowledge, and connect with others.
We want this community to remain useful, respectful, and welcoming. By participating, you agree to follow these guidelines.
1. Be Respectful
Treat other members with courtesy. Healthy disagreement is welcome, but personal attacks are not.
Not allowed: harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, discrimination, targeted insults, or deliberately hostile behavior.
2. Keep Posts Useful
Posts should contribute something meaningful to the community. Questions, ideas, experiences, recommendations, discussions, and helpful resources are encouraged.
Avoid extremely repetitive, intentionally misleading, or meaningless posts.
3. No Spam or Unsolicited Promotion
Do not use the community primarily to advertise products, services, websites, referral links, affiliate offers, or unrelated businesses.
Sharing something relevant within a genuine discussion is fine. Repeated self-promotion or promotional posting may be treated as spam.
4. Keep It Safe for Everyone
Do not post sexually explicit material, graphic violence, dangerous content, or material intended to encourage harm.
Content involving exploitation, abuse, or sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited.
5. Protect Privacy
Never publish someone else's private information without permission.
This includes addresses, phone numbers, private email addresses, financial information, passwords, account credentials, private conversations, identification documents, or other sensitive personal information.
Remember that community posts may be visible to other people. Do not put information in a community post that you intend to keep private.
6. Don't Impersonate Others
Do not pretend to be another person, organization, Simply Notes employee, administrator, or moderator.
Accounts or posts intended to deceive other members may be removed.
7. Don't Manipulate the Community
Do not artificially manipulate votes, engagement, reports, or discussions through fake accounts, coordinated activity, bots, or other deceptive methods.
Use voting to recognize contributions — not simply because you agree or disagree with someone.
8. Report Problems — Don't Escalate Them
If you see spam, abuse, harassment, or another violation, report the post instead of starting a fight with the person who posted it.
Reports help moderators and administrators review questionable content.
9. Moderation
Simply Notes moderators may remove community posts that violate these guidelines, including spam, and report moderation actions to administrators for review.
Moderator privileges are separate from normal Simply Notes account plans and are granted by administrators. The existing Simply Notes admin system is already designed around restricted administrative access.
10. Enforcement
Depending on the situation, Simply Notes may: remove content → issue a warning → restrict community participation → suspend community access → suspend or terminate an account for serious or repeated violations.
Severe violations may result in immediate action without a prior warning.
A Simple Rule
Be helpful. Be respectful. Don't spam. Don't harm others.
The Simply Notes Community should be a place where people feel comfortable sharing what they know, asking what they don't, and discovering something useful from someone else.
